Ipad Controllers
Hey Guys
Today i have something really amazing that involves the ipad.
So as we know the ipad is a tablet with a touch screen, many functions and some great apps.
But only recently have they introduced a new type of app that allows you to use a toy as the controller of a game.
The first set of toys for this new app are based on Disney's Cars franchise and work with a new game that is free to downed in the app store. In the game you take Lightning or one of the other characters for a ride in Radiator Springs, completing missions, racing, exploring the landscape, unlocking achievements, all while crashing into other cars, buildings or whatever else is out there. However the game doesn’t have multiplayer racing yet.
The game opperates by detecting the metal sensors that are under the car, once the car is placed on the ipad the game will start and the virtual car will begin to move forward. Thus there is no accelerator, you only move the car side to side. The game will also detect if the car has moved outside the designated area and the game will prompt you to put it back.
So far these are the only plans that have been released for such a game, however the future could prove differently.

Power While You Walk!?!?
Hey Guys
Its been a while since ive posted but hopefully you'll love the next two posts i have in store!!
Remember those massive panel things that could sit on the roof on a sunny day and absorb heat to create energy? Those were expensive and could only store electricity if it was sunny. What if its cloudy!?!?
Well what if i could tell you that just walking around could produce free energy for you?
Let me introduce to you, the Hybrid Power Generation Device
The Hybrid Power Generation Device was shown at the electronics trade show CEATEC 2011 in Tokyo. According to Pocket-lint, the film that this device contains can only claim a nanowatt from us humans, but it does bring up questions as to how we could utilise this technology.
So how does it work?
The Pocket-lint piece describes its method of operation thusly:

"The idea is that the cell could be worn on your body with power being generated by the difference between your body heat and the ambient air temperature using organic semi-conductor materials."Although this device can only produce a small amount of energy, who knows what door's this technology is opening, an infinite source of electricty could be just around the corner.

Logitech Harmony 1100
Light, good looking and functional; the Logitech Harmony 1100 universal remote is a brilliant edition to any home entertainment system.
As you know, general universal remotes hold many buttons, sometimes up to 50 buttons to compensate for the many systems that you plan on connecting with the remote. As such it can become very overwhelming as to which buttons you should press and what buttons work with what.
Although this universal remote seems larger than most remotes, it compensates with an easy to use 3.5 inch, full colour touch screen. All you do is touch and go. There are a few buttons on the side for easy change of channels and volumes, but everything else can be easily found and activated using the touch screen.

Game on with Atari Arcade
Combat games, fighting games, pretty much any game wthat involved button mashing and quick movement never seemed to be easy on an ipad.
However, a solution has been found.
Atari has paired with Discovery Bay Games to be bring us an iPad arcade adapter, the Arcade Duo-Powered Joystick, to help us relive the birth of gaming.
Light and functional, the Atari Arcade serves as a cheaper competitor to last year's iCade. Retailing for only $60, this should be a hit with die-hard Atari fans.
As you can see, the ipad slips nicely into the arcade adapter and your ready to play.
Game on!

LG Optimus 3D mobile phone
LG have put forward a worthy contender for Apple's iPhone with the LG Optimus 3D. Boasting a spacious 3D display with fast performance what's not to love! A little on the bulky side, and some users suffering from 3D fatigue, we recommend the Optimus 3D as a fun gadget, and not an everyday mobile phone.
Until next time geeks! Emily Davies.
